2014 9/11 Memorial Ride

On 9/11 Three Hundred participants will depart from the Boston Marathon Finish Line along wih one hundred and fifty Sean's Ride participants and cycle through Boston, into Rhode Island, through the New England countryside to the Connecticut coast. After a ferry ride across the sound, the journey will continue through Long Island's wine country and into NYC to the Freedom Tower.

TDF board member Mike De Paolis, along with 50 other TDF participants, presents a $5,000 check to the wife of Trooper Marc Castellano in honor of his ultimate sacrifice. The presentation took place at the NJ State Police barracks were Marc work, during the 2010 TDF.

TDF board member, Rob De Paolis presents a check for $5,000 to to the commanding officer of Pennsylvania State Police Troop N, to benefit the family of fallen Trooper Joshua Miller and to honor Joshua's ultimate sacrifice.

The TDF's Al Stoeckel (Chief, Palatine, IL PD) hugs the widow of Schaumburg, IL Police Officer Frank Russo, As he presented the Russo family with a check for $5,000 to honor the ultimate sacrifice made by Officer Russo.

TDF Board members Mike De Paolis & Larry De Paolis present the Widows & Children's Fund of the NYPD Detectives Endowment Association with a check for $50,000. This fund currently takes care of 48 families and helps with basic needs and even offers the children tuition for college.

The TDF's Bob Cronin (Ret. NYSP) presents a check for $5,000 to Lauren Wyman to honor her husband, Oneida County, NY Deputy Sheriff Kurt Wyman's ultimate sacrifice. After being informed of Kurt's death, Lauren immediately went into labor and gave birth to their daughter.

Boston Police Commissioner William Evans (2003 TDF rider) and Lt. Chris Hamilton (10 time TDF rider) present MIT Police Chief John DiFava & MIT Executive VP Israel Ruiz a check for $35,000 on behalf of the TDF, to the "Officer Collier Memorial Fund". A charity that will put one Police Officer through the police academy each session. Chris Hamilton was instrumental in putting together Sean's Ride and is a tremendous friend to the TDF.

Draper , Utah Police Chief Bryan Roberts along with members of his management staff, present a check for $5,000 to Shante Johnson on behalf of the "Tour de Force" in honor of her husband Sgt. Derek Johnson's ultimate sacrifice.

we will never forget The Tour de Force's dual mission is to honor the victims of 9/11 by keeping their memory alive through cycling events and to raise funds, to benefit the families of police officers, who were killed in the line of duty, each year, nationwide, making the ultimate sacrifice. The Tour de Force is a registered 5013 charity with the IRS.
